Hello:
I am performing a brand new install of vB on Windows 2003/IIS. I have the latest PHP and MySQL installed (and php seems to be working..phpinfo() does what its supposed to). I downloaded the zip file containing vB directly on to the server and extracted and copied the contents of the upload directory to the forums directory under my wwwroot. No FTPing involved (though I did also try uploading via FTP-ASCII). I have made sure that the config.php file does not have any spaces before <?php nor after ?>.
When I try to run the install at: http://66.83.165.186/forums/install/install.php,
all I get is the blank page. Upon viewing the source, all that I see is: <p></p>.
I am reasonably sure that it isnt a security issue (directory rights) as I can view an image file in that directory: http://66.83.165.186/forums/install/confused.gif
I am also pretty sure that it doesn't involve a problem with php in this directory as I can view my phpinfo test file: http://66.83.165.186/forums/install/phpinfo.php
Any other ideas?
Ernie Otero
EDIT: I was able to run the vb_test.php script and received the following result: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in D:\managemore.net\wwwroot\vb_test.php on line 102
