Forum Permissions

I cant figure out how to set forum permissions for a group at all

so I got a usergroup called registered users and I dont want them to see certain forums at all, I go to the forums and edit the permission for that group then registered members are not able to see any forums at all.

Whats wrong?

If you only want to restrict certain forums, then you need to edit their permissions in your:

Admin CP -> Forums & Moderators -> Forum Permissions

There are three separate areas to set permissions:

Overall Usergroup permissions:

Admin CP -> Usergroups -> Usergroup Manager -> Edit Usergroup

Permissions by Forum and Usergroup:

Admin CP -> Forums & Moderators -> Forum Permissions (then edit each forum and usergroup according)

Individual User Permissions per Forum:

Admin CP -> Users -> Search for Users -> Edit User -> Quick User Links -> Edit Forum Permissions (Access Masks)
