    No Input File Specified

    Hello all,

    I encountered this strange error.

    Here are my setup

    Win 2003 / IIS6
    PHP 5
    Mysql 4.01

    I run isapi for PHP
    I put a test.php script and got the information.

    When I try to run the installation of vb3. I got the error "No Input File Specified"

    Uhmmm I use the search feature on this board but I couldn't find an answer.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated

    thanks

    At what point in the install did you get this error? Did you edit config.php with your db details?

      Yes I edit the config file with all the necessary information. When I try to run the install.php I got the error.

        Do you have a database and db user setup? Honestly I don't see how this error can be generated in config.php is in place and the files have all been uploaded correctly.

        Perhaps it's a server issue. Which versions of PHP and MySQL are running?

        Do you have a phpinfo.php file? If not create a text file with this content:
        PHP Code:
        <?php
        phpinfo
        ();
        ?>
        Name it 'phpinfo.php' then upload it to your forum directory and post the URL here. This will help us troubleshoot the problem.

              That URL is not loading for me.

              Please provide the exact versions of PHP and MySQL that you are running.

                    At this time PHP5 is not certified for use with vB. Please read this announcement:

                    This is a quick announcement to alert customers to the fact that with forthcoming vBulletin releases, we will be raising the minimum PHP version required to run vBulletin software from PHP 4.0.6 to 4.1.0. However, as of the date of this announcement, the latest version of PHP 4 is the recommended version to run vBulletin, as

                    I recommending installing PHP 4.3.9 for now.

                    Also the same goes for MySQL 4.1.7 which has some serious bugs, including this one:

                    I recommend running MySQL 4.0.22 right now.

                      I will try to downgrade them and see if I still get the error
