Restore Database

I don’t know what’s going wrong when I try to install a backup of my database it runs the dump.php and after that the database is the same as before I tried to restore it. Here is what I do,



I Go to phpMyAdmin in my web browser and I select the database by clicking on the name.

I Click [SQL]

I Click the [Browse] button, and then select the backup file on my home computer and click the [Go].




After wards its says done but the database doesn’t change.

What am I doing wrong to install a backup of my database?

How big is the file you are trying to restore?

it is 3.35 MB

Most of the time anything over 2mb needs to be borken up into multiple files or bits of text. Or restored via ssh.

what is the command you are issuing? any error messages outputted?

I find it's always god to have a second set of eyes look at stuff like this.

also is safe mode enabled? Figured I'd ask, the VB script could be timing out because of safe mode, not just cause of the upload.

I think thats what going on the script is timing out but it only says done when it complets. No there is no error message.
