    problems backing up sql

when i try to backup the sql in the admin console it stops at 38% each time and it will get no further then that. although the script will not time out either.

    any ideas?

    thanks

How big is your database? anything larger than 50~ megs generaly times out, and its time to start either backing up via the shell, or youll need to do table by table backups

Telnet, Via remote desktop or tight vnc, use the command line from c:\mysql\bin (or whever mysql is installed) you can use mysqldump just like you do in *nix. If you dont have access to this you should contact your host and ask them to preform the backup
