- Is it possible to create a copy/duplicate forum architecture for forums that have the same sub-forums. Specifically, we have a travel website and want to have a few forums broken down into sub-forums by geographic region, country and some broken down by city. Obviously, there are close to 200 countries in the world and even more cities. Rather than typing each country several times, I would like to just copy the architecture. For example:
Forum 1>>South America>>Argentina>>Buenos Aries.
Forum 2>>South America>>Argentina>>Buenos Aries.
I would like to simply copy all of the sub-forums from Forum 1 to Forum 2. For an example of this architecture, you can visit our travel forum at http://www.4womenoftheworld.com/foru...p-reports.html - How can we show images within the text of a post instead of all of the images being posted at the bottom? In other words, there would be text perhaps describing an image, then the image, followed by more text and images. It would read more like a magazine.
- Is there a way to identify that a post has attachments (specifically pictures and video clips), other than through including it in the title? We would like our users to be able to easily identify which posts have pictures and/or video clips. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
- Lastly, how can members identify their unique referral link? I did not see a button for this in the FAQ, although I was able to find it when I searched the FAQ under "referral".

Forum Manager, Images and Referrals

1. There is no function to do this at this time.
2. Use the vB IMG tag.
3. This is done for threads already (the 'paperclip' icon), but not individual posts.
4. Each member's unique referral ID will show up when they view this page under 'What Are Referrals':

Forum Manager, Images and Referrasl
Steve, I meant to post this in the vBulletin 3 Forum. Does everything still apply to vB3? Can you also elaborate on the vB IMG tag or direct me to where I can find more information about how this works.
ThanksComment

Yes, this applies to vB3. You can read about the IMG and other vB Codes in the FAQ:

Follow-up Questions
Steve, I now understand how the IMG tags work.
Is there a way to insert images using the "Insert Image Icon" that would allow a user to browse his or her computer hard drive and insert images in line versus entering a URL? In other words, it would operate similar to the "Manage Attachments" function under "Attach Files". Alternatively, if the Manage Attachments function allowed images to be inserted within the body of the text, this could work as well.
Basically, we would like our members to be able to post pictures from their computer hard drives directly into the the body of a post. Is this possible?

No, there is no way to do this because the image must be on a public server accessible by the Internet. Private PCs generally don't qualify.

by MM DebbieHow can I allow images to be enlarged larger than they are currently. This forum also limits the enlargement of images, just like our forum. It seems the enlargement window is fixed. I would like images...1 Photo
