Templates really do not have plain english in them anywhere unless you have put it in there yourself

One more thing, can I use HTML in phrases? Or should I do that in the templates?

Yes you can use html. but i would not make an excess of it in the phrases, it only parses html not varibles or anything else.

An easy way to find which template is being used is to turn on Add Template Name in HTML Comments found within your ADMIN CONTROL PANEL (vbulletin Options). This will "write" the template name within your HTML SOURCE.

Another way is to search for the phrase being used within a template ... however, in most cases you will not know which phrase to search for.
The way to do this is by searching for the text found within the LANGUAGES & PHRASES section. Go into Languages & Phrases/Phrase Manager/Search in Phrases and look up the "text" ... eg. "Most users".

This will produce a list of possible phrases ... choose the right one.
You can do a search within templates for this phrase.
