Posting a long message/story

let's say the surfer opens a new thread and want to sit and spend a long time writing a story. will his session expire and will he loose the work when he tries to submit it one hour after having opened the page ?

vBulletin only uses sessions as a last resort if the user has cookies disabled. Cookies do not spontaneously expire.

That said, any post I write for a forum which will be longer than 2 paragraphs, I copy to UltraEdit and finish writing it there. I've lost lengthy posts because of network outages, server outages, forum downtimes, and any other problem you can think of.
