    partial database move

I have redone my site and now need to move the users and the forums (plus content) to a new database.. The new installation has a prefix and a different design/setup.. So the question is: what tables to I move ?

    Regards /Allan

Is the database the same version as the vB files?

The easy way to do this is to simply download and upload the styles from the test forum you've set up. Otherwise you'll need to use the vB3-to-vB3 import script to import the data you want.

problems.. the import script impex, is messing things up..

some users are imported 2 times.
forums imported 2 times (every time)
posts and attathments are imported 2 time

(and yes, i did empty the tables first)

            how can that be ?

            /Allan

There haven't been any other problems like this reported with the vB3-to-vB3 Impex script.

Please describe exactly what you did. Also I don't understand what you mean by:

"(and yes, i did empty the tables first)"

i cleared out all all forums, users, threads and post in the new installation. ran impex selected vb3 and followed the module submit buttons in the impex.. all forums transferred 2 times, some threads 2 times, some attachments 2 times pr post, some users 2 times.. that's it !

If that's so, then report this in the Bug Tracke. The import script should not be doing this when run correctly.
