issues with database

I am having issues with my database and I am unsure how to resolve the issues

the mysql database is basically hanging the entire system and will crash out the server... it pegs the process to 99% till the server dies.

i have tried recreating the database, 3 different server setups, tried to repair the db... nothing has worked


please help!!! ahh this is so frustrating!
