Mobile skin question

I have added the mobile alabama skin to my forum and although it appears on my mobile phone, it still displays images which are not shown when I access the same page using internet explorer. I don't want to muck up the existing skin so how can I edit only the mobile alabama skin ie screen size, graphics etc?
All help much appreciated.

When i load this skin using forumid=2 for example, it still reverts to the default template on my mobile. When loaded on the computer it looks fine.
ANy idea what Im doing wrong?

Are you using the autodetect code I posted in that same thread? If you are, remove it and try again.

Not sure why it wouldn't work on your phone.. I tested it quite a bit on my PPC and I'd say a few dozen other forums have the mobile skin installed now-- no one else has had these issues so it is strange.

Thanks for the reply. I hadn't used the autodetect code. Do I need to use it?
Also, is there any way to make the posts themselves more basic because at the moment they show the avatars etc.

You do not need to use the autodetect code.

I'm not sure it is installed correctly-- there are no avatars in it's postbit. Here is a site's normal style:

thats not how it appeared on mine. same for forum view, but messages was like a plain forum but with graphics.

Same thing happened again.
I uploaded the style from my computer,
Chose 'create new style'
No parent style
and chose to Ignore style version.
Is that correct?

Maybe it is the postbit selected in your system.. I thought I specified the postbit in the header of the style, but evidently I didn't.

Try adding this to the phpinclude:

$vboptions['legacypostbit'] = 0;

I have installed it a few times now and get the same each time.
Is it a compatibility problem with 3.3? The style id keeps adding up even though I have deleted the old theme. Any way to set it back to 2?
