Actually, it's happening on JPG's too it seems.

Attached is the mySQL error message.

I downloaded the latest file (admincp/misc.php) I even did a second download just now and uploaded that to the server.

However when I rebuild thumbnails everything seams fine in the admincp, but I don't get the thumbnails to show in posts (it worked well on 3.0.0). The links to the actual attachment works fine, but thumbnails are not showing

              Any ideas?

                Just to add some info.

I did a test and attached a new image and the thumbnail for that was created and shows in the forum with no problem.
So it seams to be a problem with the rebuilding of the attachments I had before the upgrade from 3.0.0 -> 3.0.2

I think I was the first person to have this issue (woohoo!) but I did install before the second misc.php was created.

Firstly I upgraded and then tried to rebuild thumbnails... errors everywhere.
I then decided to move them from the file system into the database (obviously lots of errors relating to missing thumbnails)... I then rebuilt the thumbnails... seemed to be working... but no thumbs were being displayed..

However, thumbnails for attachments since the upgrade were working.

So I moved them back into the file system and rebuilt the thumbnails and they then worked...

                  Crazy but true.

I'm experiencing the same problem. Thumbnails for newly posted images appear fine, the old ones are all broken. And rebuilding thumbnails breaks the new ones as well.

I downloaded 3.0.2 after the misc.php correction but I've redownloaded it just to make sure. My attachments are stored in the database.

                      Same problem

getting an "X" instead of thumbnail after 3.0.2 upgrade...

Like I said, the new misc.php doesn't fix the problem for me.

My attachments are stored in the file system, so there could be an issue if they are in the db?
