    Problems Login

When a user is trying to login to my site (http://www.hamptonroadstech.com), they get the thank you for login in but the systems redirects them to the login form again. This happens for the modcp, admincp and user login. Users with cookies do not have any problems.

Also, if I log out, the system has problems clearing the cookies and say click here to continue.

I am not able to tell you this because I am not even able to login to the AdminCP. Can you tell me how to see this in the code?

You say users with cookies dont have any problems, what do you mean?

If a user has logged in previously and has checked the box to save a cookie, the system allows them to access the registered members sections. However, users that have cleared the cookies, cannot.

The login problem is happening for all the logins (admincp, modcp and usercp) so I am unable to go and check the admin settings. I have noticed though that in the user side, the problem is happening Sporadically. Sometimes happens and sometimes it does not.

So, if a user logs in, and checks remember me. they can come back, and it will remember them? but if they dont, they are forced to login again?

            This is correct opperation.

No. If someone had saved the cookies prior to the problems starting, they can access all the resources since they do not have to login (which is what I want it to do). But, if someone has not saved the cookies, and try to login, as soon as they login is says Thanks you for login in user and then it gets redirected back to the login page again.

What did you do right before this problem started.

I had cookie corruption problems by changing the cookie time-out values AFTER people had already made cookies by logging in. I had to direct users to manually purge cookies and stop fooling with the cookie related Admin CP functions before things settled out. I also had to direct users to enable cookies, esp AOL users otherwise they had big trouble posting. Is there a generic statement on the management of cookies for users posted somewhere?

I'd like to see a generic statement on the management of cookies, also. I believe we're experiencing the same problems on my forums, (which I posted about elsewhere here).

googull, I have tested by deleting my cookies and the problem is not solved.

Thinking about it, I have to say that I added the weather hack. Laura, do you have the same hack in your web site?

I had to laugh a bit...no, we have no hacks installed whatsoever..we're just trying to get the darn thing up and running. Thanks for the help tho!
