Okay... here's the short and sweet of it....
I've created a new Scheduled Task via the Scheduled Task Manager, and set it to run hourly. That's all fine. I uploaded the file to the includes/cron folder...
When I'm logged into the ACP and I use the "RUN NOW" button to run my new Scheduled Task / Cron, it works like a golden dandy charm.
However, when it runs via the vB cron system, there are certain things that seem to be holding it up, and the script fails to run properly.
I think the main part of the problem is with variables that are being pulled from the DB being an empty value when ran as a cron, where if I ran the script by hand, the variable is populated with the right data...
I don't want to get into the details of what the script does, but this question is for any of the developers that could possibly point me to a common mistake that would be different between running the Cron from the admincp, or if it runs by itself... something with the DB connection or something???
TIA for any help, suggestions, or hell... ANYTHING!!!
Great work of vB3 guys!!!!
