    Newbie help required

OK I have a forum in this layout.
    main index > main topics
    Sub-forum:
    Sub-Forum:
    Threads in forum...

The problem I have is that each sub-forum has at the bottom the ability to post and goes on with
"There have been no posts in the last 30 days in this forum."

I'd like to remove this refence. I don't want people to post in a sub-forum. I have tried all manner of options eg.
Admincp > vboptions > forum listings display options and then 2.2.0 and 2.1.0 for forum depth etc etc. none seem to work.
I've also tried forum manager > act as forum. But this messes with the overall layout of the forums. Looks yuck.

Surely I can have as outlined but I'm stumped to get it to look right.
    All help appreciated.

edit: I better post an example of my problem so you can see what it is I'm trying to explain

    Thankyou again.

edit #2: sorry mods I posted in the wrong section should be VB3 not 2

Make "Clipsal Integrated Systems" a category by setting Act as Forum to No in your:

Admin CP -> Forums & Moderators -> Forum Manager -> Edit Forum

That will get rid of the thread listing for that forum.

      Thankyou Jake for the reply,
It works to some extent but not as I wanted.

      Cheers
