Adding html to forum titles

I tried adding links from within the forum description but it doesn't show up as a link but rather as code.

How do I add links to be shown on main page next to individual forums? I'd like to maybe add an image next to a few as well, is this accomplished in the same way?

Just use standard HTML. It should work.
