Problem with Japanese Encoding ( version 2.3.0 )

We are encountering a problem with Japanese encoding on Vbulletin version 2.3.0 and I can't find any reference to it on the boards. I know i had to modify the functions.php file in the admin folder to get some of hte double byte characters to display correctly, but not we are encountering some funny results. Attached is an image for the problems .

What we are noticing is that in typing out long passages. some of the double byte characters are turning into . br / > all ovr hte place. Can someone provide some insight as to why this is happening?

Please have him respond in this thread . Cause this has been an ongoing long problem with versions of Vbulletin prior to 3.0 betas. Every updated version of vb2.2.x has caused something in the Japanese/Double-byte characters to not display properly where I have to modify something in the templates for the files themselves to get the characters to display properly. Which is why i haven't gone ahead and updated to the latest version of vb2.3.x
