Avatars

I'm confused about Avatars. Does every user have to upload them? Many boards give you a choice to use existing avatars or upload your own, but I haven't been able to figure out how to do this at SitePoint or here.

I believe the Admin can upload some images that users can select from, otherwise they have to upload their own

Is there a feature available to make threads older then lets say 2 years automatically close?

Sorry, there is no function to do this. This requires modifying the code. We cannot officially support code modifications or forums running modified code, however you can try searching or asking for help with this over at www.vbulletin.org.
