    Background color of announcement

    Version 2.2.4

How do I change the background color of announcements? I've looked through the CP and templates but don't see the option.

    Anyone?

    Thanks!

Look in your 'announcebit' template. I believe you can change the color on the second line.

      Thanks, Cary.

However, I can't seem to find that. I've posted an image of what I "can" find and what I see in the vB manual. I can't seem to find the announcebit setting along with others.

      Can you offer assistance? Anyone?

        You're looking at the replacements.

On the main menu to the left, look for 'Templates' - It's at the very botton of the list.
Admin CP --> Templates --> Modify --> [expand list] --> annoucementbit [change original]

Shazzam! They're there now. I swear they weren't there before I upgraded (tonight) to 2.2.9

Before I only had a list of "change original" - not the list.

          Thanks for the assistance!

The reason you got only a list of 'change original' was because of a BUG with lower versions of vBulletin and versions of PHP 4.2.x and higher.

When you upgraded tonight, that fixed the problem.

              Guess that answers that, eh?

Looking through that template, it looks as though I can change the colors of the announcement page, but what I'm after and I guess was vague about in my original question is the ability to change the color of the announcement bgcolor when you see it listed at the top of a forum. Sorry I wasn't too clear on that one.

Is it possible to do that?

                Thanks, Cary!

                Found it! Under:

                Forum Display Templates
                forum_display_announcement

                Thanks again!

                  forumdisplay_announcement

The previous post mentioned the text colour of announcement titles could be changed by modifying forumdisplay_announcement. I've had a look at the code and I'm not sure how to modify it. I'd like to make the text yellow using #FFFF99. Can someone help?

I'm referring specifically to the title link colour as it appears in the thread list - not the message text. At the moment it is #22229C.

                  Regards, Mike
