Problem with changes to users after upgrading

Hey guys, little bit of a problem here, I recently upgraded my forum to version 2.2.9 after a server crash and now I'm having two problems.

1. When I try to edit a user in the admin cp I get the following error when I click SAVE CHANGES: "There is already an [user] named 'username' "

2. When I try to move/prune users I get an error that I haven't selected any users to move/prune even though I have.

Any ideas?

This problem may be due to the user and userfield tables no longer matching. There should be one entry for each user in both tables. You can verify this by using phpMyAdmin to access and view your database. If they don't match then you can use the script posted here to fix the problem:
