No, we still need to figure out why you're getting a blank page. That really shouldn't be.

Assuming you uploaded both therse scripts in ASCII, upload the phpinfo.php file from the 'extras' directory of the zip file to your forums directory. Then post the URL here. This will help us troubleshoot the problem.

      Steve,

I had accidentally FTP'd the file as a binary, so I uploaded it again as ASCII, but it's still not working.

However, here's some good news: I gave up on waiting for my ISP, so I went on the assumption that the SMTP server I was using is somehow no longer functioning. So, I modified my php.ini and entered another SMTP server. Voila! Mail is now working again! I can send users their password from the Control Panel and the mailtest.php works as well. HOWEVER, mailtest2.php is still not working.

The main problem has been resolved. But should I be concerned with why mailtest2.php does not work? Is the code compatible with php 4.1.2? I can pull it up as mailtest2.txt (obviously it won't execute), but it won't work as .php. Any advice?

Thank you VERY much for all your help!

That's weird. Mailtest2 contains the original mail code from mailtest.php plus another mail option. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.
