    Setting up a Super Mod

I have never figured out the Super Mod feature.

    Here is what I need:

I have about 30 forums and many volunteers that work as moderators, deleting, moving, editing posts. That is the main assignment they have.

It is an extreme amount of work to set each up in a particular forum especially since after a while a mod has to quit and she may have had a forum or 5 with several sub forums. Alot of confusion.

I want to create it so a mod or super mod or whatever can clean, edit, prune, move, etc in any forum. However I do not want to give them access to the CP.

Is there a way to do this simply?

Supermods are like mods, for all forums. By default they do not have access to your Admin CP.

Also supermods can, by default, ban members whereas normal mods, by default, can't.

          thanks to all of you..

          Ok one glitch...

All the mods have been made super mods and they can all work in the different forums. However, now when someone uses the "report this post to a moderator" button it doesn't go to any of them. They all would like to receive these messages as admins do.

          Can this be done?

You would either need to make them Mods of these specific forums, or hack this function in.

Also, if you don't want them to ban, htaccess your /mod forum and don't give them u/p

And for your problem, just made them mods of the cats, that will make them mod of all the forums, and will let them get reports

                Thanks IDN

That will save a little work.

Seems like there has to be an easier method down the road....

Normal mods can restrickt access masks per forum that they have access to as moderator.
