    Non-database backups

What is the prefer method for backing up all the other stuff that is not included in a mysqldump? Is it using an FTP program? Thanks in advance. JakeC

I'm not sure about a 'preferred' method but FTP certainly does the job.

Are there other ways? Are there ways to automate the process?

I assume you have a web management tool available from your web host which you can upload and download files with.

You can also telnet or ssh into the server and use zmodem or some other file transfer tool.
