Upgrade Question: Do I lose my HTML template modifications after an upgrade?

Do I lose my HTML template modifications after an upgrade?
I purchased 2.2.6 and have received two upgrade notices one for 2.2.7 and recently 2.2.8.

I have modified some of the HTML templates. Will I lose modifications?

Also, can I just apply upgrade 2.2.8 or do I 1st have to install 2.2.7?

Custom templates are not overwritten when you upgrade. Howerver to get the full benefit of bug and security fixes you may want to revert some of the templates that changed since your version. To see which templates have changes, read the announcement for each version since yours.
