I've had a dozen or so of these emails in the last 12 hours. What's it all about?

This means that one or more of the following is wrong in your config.php file:

$dbusername
$dbpassword
$dbname

...or that this db user is not assigned to that database or does not have permission to access MySQL. If you are unsure of what the appropriate values are then you will need to ask your webhost.

I am my web host -- that's what is scarey. I had a drive fry in the server Friday night and had to back up from the second drive. I'll bet this has to do with the test forum I had before. It got trashed and I didn't bother fixing it.
