    Blank White Screen

On my board www.moparstyle.net a couple days ago every 9th or 10th started to post a blank white screen will pop-up with Done on the botton status line. When you hit refresh it brings up the thread it was suppose to.

This is happening to everyone so it is not my ISP. It has also happened to me on three different computers and two different ISPs. I have cleared my cookies and Internet Temo files -- and that hasn't helped -- but again a dozen others have complained of this two.

I only have a dozen site on this dedicated server and none of the others are effected at all. I'm wondering if this is a MySql problem. Anyone else ever had this problem -- if so, what fixes it.

You might want to upgrade to 2.2.6 which has PHP 4.2 compatibility, if your host has that.

      Good call Filbert.

I just checked and found that the server had php upgraded the other day.

I'm using phpPortal and have a lot of the standard hacks (stats, quick replay, etc). Does anyone know of any conflict with these and 2.2.6?

phpPortal is notoriously (at least from what I've heard) wreaking havoc with vB. If you just want a simple vB-powered home page, there's PluhNews, vbIndex, vbHome, and others at http://www.vbulletin.org/

That's a bummer on phpPortal -- as I just got mine looking and feeling the way I want.

I like the one vbulletin.org uses. Do you know what it is?

My bigger problem is that I'm not a php programmer. I can follow simple hack instructions -- but never picked up anything more complicated than that. I choose phpPortal because it was said to be the only one where you need to be a php programmer.

Chen ("FireFly") wrote it; I believe he sells it if you ask him.
