    problem with moving hosts....

It's kind of a unique problem. sorry if this is in the wrong forum, or if this has been addressed before, but I couldn't find it in my search.

I am moving from one host to the other. The old host closed down my access before I had an opportunity to back up my database. I called the old host, and he said though my access was gone (already transferred to the new host), that my files were still on his server.

So, my question is, what file or files do I need to recover from my old server to upload to the new one? Is it even possible? Where does vbulletin keep database files by default?

Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

You need a database dump, which is not likely to be stored somewhere accessable via FTP. You'll need SSH to make a reliable dump file.
