    hey,
I currently have version 2.2.5 dssforum.com i wanted to upgrade and the instructional manuel posted by vbulletin says this :

    New Installation Instructions
    and

    Upgrade instructions for vBulletin 2.2.6
Am i just sepposed to follow the steps in upgrade instructions if yes, then

    1) Upload all the files except install.php
    2) Load up the following web pages in your web browser.
    3) When you are done, be sure to delete all the upgradex.php scripts.

    From 2.2.5

how about config.php should i upload the new one or edit it with my passwords first then upload.

    any help is appriciated.

You don't need to edit or upload config.php (it's not in the zip file anway) nor do you need to upload the image files.

Yep, it's that way so people don't inadvertantly overwrite their config.php.

That URL was only an example. The upgrade scripts are in your forums admin directory, assuming you have uploaded the 2.2.6 files to your server.

When upgrading from 2.2.5 to 2.2.6 does Mysql get altered?

I can't quickly get the answer on if Alter is enabled on my server as the host is a college student and it takes a couple hours to get answers. Will I need to know my table names and password when going frrom 2.2.5 to 2.2.6?

There are no schema changes between 2.2.5 and 2.2.6 so you should be fine.
