I run 2.2.1 since I was already working on the upgrade when 2.2.2 was released. Since I use my own attachment system and not vB's, I had already commented out the attachment part of the delete post routine... that of course helps speed a bit.
While investigating the difference between the 2.2.2 delete post routine and the 2.2.1, I discovered the unindex function that is called several times in postings.php. Yet, strangely, it is not called when you delete a post. Looking at the deletepost function inside of functions.php, you can see that the delete from searchindex line is removed---
So when you delete a post with 2.2.2 does it not remove it from the searchindex at all? Is there a reason the unindex function is not called when you delete a post?
