    Freddie, there are adverse affects. The posts of the missing 2500 show up as 'Guest' and the attachments in their posts do not show up. The problem is that the backup db was made with a very old version of MySQL(he didn't know the exact version) and he's importing it into MySQL 4.0.12.

      Sure they show up as guest, but he said 'everyone' can login so I take that to indicate that the missing 2500 are not wanted.

          Sure, there will be no problem if you have more users in userfield than in the user table...it's only a problem, if you have a less amount of users in the userfield table or if an userid is missing from userfield.

          This script will also remove all unnecessary entries in your userfield table.
