Pulldown list, go button question
(Firefly - pls let this stay in this forum. The HTML forum has very little responsiveness, and I'm on a deadline for an answer... thanks)
I'm a novice with html and am having a friend help me. I have a pulldown picklist to "start a new discussion in ___________ forum", with a submit button. The way it is currently working is not the way I want it to work. Here's how it is now:

(What I want instead is something more like the "Forum Jump" pulldown at bottom of the vB site pages.)
1. No blank choice initially, but rather it should default to "News Stories"
2. I want to use a graphical "submit" or "go" button, not an HTML form button.
My friend needs the HTML and/or javascript code to do this. I don't want it to auto-submit upon release of pulldown item; I want you to have to click the graphical "go" button.
I know for you pros, this is simple stuff. Thanks!
