    importing UBB 5.74d into VB2

When I try importing an OLD OLD UBB forum into VB2 the import script fails to load
it simply shows a blank frame - Im guessing its due to running php5 etc

Is there documentation on what is required for the VB importers to run ?

Can I get the data from UBB 5.74 into VB any other way ?

Yes, you cannot run vB2 with PHP5. I'm afraid there is no other option. Sorry.

It is not going to work with PHP5. Sorry.

It may work with PHP4 but I do not know for sure. That script was written many years ago and is no longer supported. The author is long gone.

Well the good news is that mysql 4 amd php 4 worked - I ended up renting a VPS to avoid downgrading one of my 2 live servers

I had real problems with the paths - was getting all kinds of errors in the import - I finally took and searched and replaced the paths I was using into the bbimport_ubb5.php file - after that it went pretty good

Then clicking NEXT about a thousand times to get to 3.6.10 - forum looks good - All we really worried about was the content - somehow I ended with 1900 unknown users and about the same number of real users ( may have been from one of the many import attempts

Anyway - thanks for all your help and thanks to Jake Bunce

Now need to import these 120k posts into a live VB with 1.3 million posts .. that should be fun
