We have a client running version 2.3.8. They just recently has us reindex their search last weekend and they have a huge board so the indexing took around 36 hours. It finished smoothly and the board itself is fine but for some reason, now when users login, they get the 'Thanks for logging in...redirecting you' message...and then they're redirected to the Password Recovery Form. They're still logged in and if they click back to the forum home they're logged in and everything is fine, but this is kind of annoying for them to have this extra unnecessary step. Do you have any idea what might have caused this or how it can be resolved? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hard to say. Why are they still running 2.3.8? Have they installed any modifications? Have you tried reuploading the original files?Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)

They're still running 2.3.8 because a lot of their site is dependant on vbulletin files and they know that upgrading won't go smoothly for the rest of their site. There are no modifications to the board itself. I don't see why reindexing the search should cause any problems where files would need to be replaced. Any other ideas?Comment

No, I do not see how reindexing could possibly cause this problem with the default vB files - even vB 2.3.8.Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)
