Displaying User's E-mail Address Only to Them

I would like to display the user's e-mail address on the main page. Something like:

Welcome back, John Doe!
Your e-mail: [email protected]

I've tried a couple of variables that I thought would do it, but with no luck. I'm wondering if this is because I have the options set to not show the user's e-mail address in their profile.

Any ideas? Thanks!
