The information you require is in the manual under the moving servers section.

I get this when I do it:
          "E:\Server\MySql\Bin>mysql -uAdmin -p***** forum < E:\Backup\vbulletin.sql
ERROR 1048 at line 598: Column 'metakey' cannot be null"

AFAIK, none of our tables have a column called metakey.

Although you could most likely fix that error nonetheless by using MySQL 3.23.

              Importing Backup Over Existing Data

The tutorial on restoring a backup that you have provided is good if you are wanting to create a new database and import the data. I am merely wanting to import the data from my backup file OVER the existing data in my database, as I have seemingly messed it up while playing with it. I am trying to do all of this with phpmyadmin, as I do not have telnet access. Thanks, David
