Email Notification Problems

A few days ago all email notification to me from my Forums stopped. The messages are sent, but they never arrive. Of course I double-checked the email address and it's correct.

I suspected a problem at my web host since I cannot get email notifications from their own forums either. So I installed my entire board - database and all - at my backup webhost. Sure enough the email notification didn't work there either.

The strange thing is that I do receive email notification from this Forum, and I use the exact same address as on the others - [email protected].

Right now my web host insists that there is nothing wrong with my email (they are responsible for my primary domain and email address.) I have pointed out that I have confirmed I am not getting some emails, but they refuse to look into this matter any more.

Is there any SMTP guru out there that can figure out why some email to [email protected] would arrive and others don't? I'm at a loss to explain why this is happening and unfortunately my web host refuses to believe there's any problem at all.

Do you have all settings correct to receive email, like a username and password. This was a problem for me one time, and it turned out that I didn't have the right username and password in my Outlook express mail box so I couldn't receive anything.

Yep - all settings are correct. Email notification was working fine until a few days ago. The machine my site was hosted on was hacked and ever since then I'm not getting these emails.

As I said my web host denies there's a problem and unfortunately I can't prove I'm not getting email - particularly to people that won't listen.

I should point out that when I change my email address to one that is not hosted my this company. I get the emails fine. It's only when I use the email address they are hosting that this doesn't work. And this only started happening after the server was hacked.
