    browser problem

I've got a problem with the viewing of my vb in my browsers, IE and Netscape.

With Netscape my index.php is empty but with IE it looks fine. When trying to access the admin area, only Netscape work while IE gave me a "cannot find server" error.

When trying to login with IE to post threads it also gave me the "cannot find server" error.

    My site is at

    still under development.

looks more like a dns issue than a browser issue. I can't connect to your site at all

If you try accessing http://forum.soccermamak.com, you'll get a blank page ..

I tried IE, I can browse the page but I cant log in, it'll show me a "cannot find server" error. Same goes to my admin/ page, once I click "OK" it gave me the same error.

            ARGHHHH!

I fixed the Netscape problem, thanx to eva2000's recommendation of netmechanic

Now left the IE problem of log in and that irritating "cannot find server" error

You have a , at the end of the url. If I take it out I can access the page fine with IE.

Analysis of the headers returned on login shows this:
                  Code:
                  HTTP/1.1 200 OK
                  Date: Mon, 28 May 2001 01:19:12 GMT
                  Server: Apache/1.3.20 (Unix) PHP/4.0.5 mod_gzip/1.3.19.1a mod_ssl/2.8.4 OpenSSL/0.9.6
                  X-Powered-By: PHP/4.0.5
                  Connection: close
                  Content-Type: text/html
Headers returned for the email password feature is this:
                  Code:
                  HTTP/1.1 200 OK
                  Date: Mon, 28 May 2001 01:19:48 GMT
                  Server: Apache/1.3.20 (Unix) PHP/4.0.5 mod_gzip/1.3.19.1a mod_ssl/2.8.4 OpenSSL/0.9.6
                  X-Powered-By: PHP/4.0.5
                  Set-Cookie: bblastvisit=991012788; expires=Tue, 28-May-02 01:19:48 GMT; path=/
                  Content-Length: 8778
                  Connection: close
                  Content-Type: text/html
Only difference is the lack of a cookie and content length. But the lack of a cookie for bblastvisit confuses me because it SHOULD be set..

Catka, where did you get the extra "a" from? maybe you can include a screen capture here?

                        thanx

                          He meant an extra ",".

I was just able to login without a problem with IE. And my test script returned everything correctly as well.

weird.. I tested with 3 pcs, two of them got the error while the other one managed to log in. All of them are using the same version of IE. I think it's the IE setting probably but I have no problem login in and out of vb's forum.. just my forum.

                            very weird...
