Three questions here:
1) There seems to be no way to mark all the messages in a single forum as having been read - is this the case?
2) I set my unread time out to 7 days. In other words, I want unread messages to be flagged with special icons for up to 7 days. I would prefer infinite (i.e. forever) but the admin control panel WANTS to see a number in seconds there. My question, is does this interfere with the display of currently online users? Supposedly, the display is set to 5 minutes and cannot be changed (this is how I want it) - but I have users that log in and never seem to disappear. FYI, these users usually just close their browser without logging out. I thought it was a bug with my session table after I moved the database, so I manually deleted the records in the session table, but when these guys came back the bug manifested itself.
3) After reading a message marked as "new", the status does not change (i.e. the icon is still different). Is this by design? Is there any way to achieve this functionality? Or do users have to resign themselves to diligent use of the Mark as read feature?
