I am not sure if this is some weird feature but I just noticed a smilie can't start off a line... example:

also this :) works...

it's the same with the similie being the only one on the line

I think I know why...

My guess would be that somewhere the script tells it to look for space-colon. Since a start of the line would have no space, then it ignores it.

It's still a bug though :)

yep, I was right

it's looking for a space before the :
if you do a space at the start of the line and then do a smiley, it will work.

Yeah so it does it anywhere you have a smiley without a space I guess (look at my post above). This is not the case on my forums which is running the latest stable code, so I guess this is one created by the beta.
