    vB cookies and registered users

    How do all..

I have a question regarding the user groups, registered users and cookies.. currently my understanding of the software is, if you have the Unregistered / Not Logged In group set to not allow posting, this also includes registered users who do not use cookies.. This is bad because of the nature of the security minded people who visit our board..

My question is if I can change this by adding a new group called Not Logged In and make the Unregistered / Not logged In group be Unregistered only? Will the default routines then allow non cookied registered users to post after allowing the new group?

Right now the only way to let registered users post on the board without cookies is to allow anyone to post to any forum..

    Thanks..

Unfortunately, this isn't possible. It's impossible to differentiate between unregistered and not Logged In, since there's no cookie there :(
