    We're Back!

If you have tried to access vBulletin.com or any of the other official sites in the past 48 hours you will be aware that the server has been down since late on Thursday night.

Late on Thursday, an anomaly was detected in several services on the vBulletin server, which was affecting network throughput. The anomaly gradually became more detrimental to services and it was decided to reboot the server.

Unfortunately, the server failed to reboot sucessfully. Analysis from staff at our data center led to the conclusion that the server had suffered a fatal error, and a complete system rebuild would be necessary.

This rebuild was started as soon as our host could provide us with a clean server on which to work.

As you can see, the rebuild is now complete and we are back to fully operational status with a new hard drive array in the server. No data has been lost and we should be able to pick up exactly where we left off.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Chris Schreiber for his help in getting the server back up and running as soon as we have. His expertize have been invaluable.

We will keep you updated if we learn anything more about the error we encountered that brought the server down, but for now, thanks for bearing with us!
