NOTE: This software is currently classed as BETA, meaning that it's not 100% stable yet. We have had it running in a production environment for several weeks now, and it has shown itself to be very capable of standing up to the rigours of end users and testers. We highly recommend that you backup before you start messing with the database.
Also, things may not work quite how you expected them to work. Please post constructive criticism as to how you would like to see these features work better, and we'll see what we can do. Things may well be bewildering at first - we will be working on making the administrator's experience as painless as possible.

At the moment, we only have a .php version available. We are looking into alternatives to posting 3 separate versions. If you wish to create your own .php3 or .phtml version, all you must do it rename all .php files to the necessary extension, and then do a global search and replace through all files for .php .

Over the next few days we will be giving the website a full over haul with full reference material for vBulletin 2.0. However, to get you through now, here are a couple of basic instructions:

    Fresh Installations

For fresh installations, you must run the install1.php file in the admin directory. Before you do this, take the config.php.new file, edit it to contain your details, then upload it as config.php to the server.

Then you can run through the install1.php script in much the same way as old install scripts.

    Upgrades

For upgrades, upload the all the new files on to the server. Then run the upgrade1.php file in the admin dir, and this will automatically shut down your board. Run the upgrade script through to completion. It will automatically upgrade the latest versions of the polls, calendar and PM hacks. Once you have finished the upgrade, you can open your board again if you want. You must remember to run the search indexing tool in the control panel to update all the search index.

Extensive details about installing and upgrading will be posted in the next few days, but that should be enough to get you through for now.

Just on a personal note, I would like to thank you all for being so patient while we tidied up the loose ends over the last couple of weeks. I can only guess how frustrating it must have been being able to see vBulletin 2 so close. All credit must go to the moderators and developers too who have fielded questions, requests and bugs until they are blue in the face and still come out smiling at the end.

You've waiting a long time for this. Enjoy!
