    vBulletin 2.0

    Hello,

Over the last few months the hard-working vBulletin development team (John, Ed, Freddie, Chris and Jim) have been busy on the next generation software upgrade - vBulletin 2.0. The software has now entered a "private beta" stage, and vBulletin 2.0 is now being run at the following sites:

Patagium Games is a leading source for Magic the Gathering and Lorcana trading cards, merchandise, art, and accessories based in Miami, Florida. We ship nationally and internationally and maintain carefully curated gallery quality inventory available on our website.

ProgressTalk.com, the fastest growing Progress user's group, offers a web-based discussion forum on over 50 topics relating to using Progress.

Feel free to browse these sites, and evaluate all the exciting new features that have been implemented in this version, including:

    ~ Co-branding / Multiple style,template sets
    ~ Support for Avatars
    ~ User control panel
    ~ Private messaging
    ~ Buddy list
~ Nested forums (unlimited depth subcategories)
    ~ Upgraded search engine
~ GZip pages (to reduce page download time)
    ~ Much, much more!

    New Admin Features

Big improvements have also occurred behind the scenes, in the vBulletin admin control panel. As well as an attractive new design, it's now possible to edit any single design element on your vBulletin bulletin board with help from over 300 templates! In addition, the software features over 140 forum options, that will allow you to configure the operation of any aspect of your forum. Here's a few of the other exciting new administration features:

    ~ Real-time forum statistics
~ Download / Upload template sets
    ~ Moderator's control panel
    ~ Revamped user permissions system
    ~ Improved support for moderators
    ~ Backup database feature

    Release Schedule

Currently, the developers are busy working on heavily optimising the vBulletin code and database structure, as well as squeezing out the last remaining bugs. We hope to release the software into the members area as a public beta very soon (within two weeks).

Please keep an eye on vBulletin.com for further announcements!
