    vB3 Status Update - March 31, 2003

    Here is the current update of the vBulletin 3 Development.

    Private Beta Test
    The private beta test is progressing well with a smaller amount of bugs being reported each week. Several larger boards have been upgraded to vB3 since the last update boasting 16,173 members, 178,166 threads and 2,520,737 posts.

    vB3 Bugs
    Total fixed bugs: 94
    Total unresolved Bugs: 9

    Current Unresolved Bugs
    • DST being based on server time
    • Possible CURL issue with subscriptions
    • Duplicate thread check


    Currently Active Tasks
    • The documentation project led by Kevin has started, at the moment they are documenting the admin control panel.
    • Conversion of admin control panel to full register_globals off compliance
    • Removal of obsolete pieces of code which were left in for PHP3 compliance
    • Optimisation of the database schema and queries to reduce load
    • Smilies including semi-colons can cause problems by getting confused with HTML entities such as &


    Next Phase
    The fixing of bugs and optimisation of the database schema will be the focus of the current weeks development.

    These reports will be compiled every fortnight to allow you to follow development.
