I think this just means the database is down because they are tinkering with it.

I wouldn't go on about bugs at this point as I am sure they know all about them and are dealing with them.

Maybe it has something to do with sessions?

I think it should be as it is:
              Categorie 1
              - Forum1
              - Forum2
              Categorie 2
              - Forum3
              - Forum4
and only when you go to ForumX you will come to page with shows:
              - SubForum1
              - SubForum2
and no postings under ForumX when there is a subforum included, think user would be confused by letting them post under forumX and saw then posts and subfourms??

Think this part MUST be improved!!!!!
That confused me also. I wasn't sure if the threads in the first category contained the ones in the sub categories or not. It would be nice to have an option to not allow threads at that level. I would probably just want to have a list of sub-categories.

Unless, of course, the list of threads on the first page was a compilation of the threads in the sub-categories. That might be cool.

Part of the confusion is do to

I think part of the confusion re: forums on the demo is due to the way subforms are named: sub forum, e.g. If real names were used, users would be less confused in navigating the board. So I'm not too concerned about navigation confusion at this point.

possibly, but i still want categories that can't have posts in them not just forums.

You can make it so your top level forums act like the categories of today by setting "Allow POsts" feature off in the user groups. Then you can restrict the flow of posts to your subforums.

I think the only thing you need to do to make categories and forums work the way you want in the new version is just work with the templates and permission settings. It shouldn't be that difficult.

All that really needs fixing "I think" is for there to be some sort of icon, like a custom forum icon next to sub-forums, and folder icons for threads.
                        Well, there it is.

                          Quite disappointed about Unicode support.

I've tried to search an ID made with Korean charactors.
and I got "Warning: Offset 0 is invalid for MySQL result index 8 in /usr/local/etc/httpd/sites/vbulletin.com/htdocs/v2demo/admin/db_mysql.php on line 108
                          " with no result.
I don't know whether it is very difficult to implement Unicode but VB can loose all asian market.
I asked same Q before and one guy told that there is a way to use unicode but since I'm not famillier with programing thus I decided to wait until VB can handle Unicode. Seems not in VB2.0
