    Php 4.2.0

PHP 4.2.0 has recently been launched, and there have been a few reported problems with vBulletin.

To fix these, make sure that you have got register_globals turned ON in your php.ini file. If you need help with this, please contact your host.

This should address any issues that you have been having with vBulletin/PHP compatibility.

    PHP 4.2.0 Update

Recently PHP 4.2.0 has been released and so we will be seeing hosts slowly upgrade to it.

There are several issues created by this version of PHP that affect vBulletin v2.x.x.

First, PHP 4.2.0 recommends that register_globals should be disabled and by default it is.
vBulletin will not function with register_globals disabled so it will need to be left on until we release
version 3.0 in a few months.

Secondly, PHP 4.2.0 seems to create several 'bugs' in vBulletin. So far the confirmed bugs have been fixed
and are included in this file. We are still in the process of tracking down everything broken by 4.2.0 and so we
can not guarantee that vBulletin performs properly under PHP 4.2.0 so YMMV.

These files have only been tested on v2.2.5 of vBulletin. While they should work on all v2.2.x versions, they have not been tested and are not supported on those versions.

Fixed Issues in Admin Directory files:

template.php - when modifying templates the list is empty. (reported by many users)
user.php - when modifying users you receive a SQL error. (reported by many users)
db_mysql.php - fix intermittent PHP errors (reported by one user)

    Unconfirmed Issues:

Users are prompted to continually login when reading or posting to private forums.
