Cannot login to Vb 5.3.4 following upgrade from 4.2.5.

I have installed a test version of VB 5.3.4 in anticipation of a potential upgrade. After the install was finished, I am unable to login. Checking the user table, I no longer see the password field in the database. Was that modified, or did something not go right during the upgrade? Not a big deal either way, just trying to figure it out so that I can open it up for user testing.

There is no field named password in vBulletin 5.

What is the issue that you're getting when you try to log in?

Hi Wayne, Thank you. When I click login, I enter username and password, and then it goes back to the home page, with no login. Same with the admincp. It goes back to the login screen. When I click the reset password link, it takes me to the correct page, but will not accept the email when I click Send Email. It does not leave that screen.

Please check the /config.php and /core/includes/config.php and make sure that the cookie prefix value in both files is the exact same. In the default files, these are both 'bb'.

Second, make sure that you're accessing the site from the explicit domain referenced when you installed it. That means if you have it installed on https://domain.com. You have to use that. Not www.domain.com or http://domain.com.

They are both the same, and I checked my URL and tried to reach it that way, no change.

We would need access to the site and database. if you have ticket support please open a ticket and submit the information to access the site. AdminCP, SFTP and Database access will probably be required.
