Problems Upgrading to Version 5.3.4 PL1

    Hello!!

    Happy New Year to everybody!

friends, I made the upgrade from version 5.2.0 to version 5.3.4 PL1. the upgrade process was apparently correct, but I have the following issues (some more serious than the others ...):

1 - Posts are blank, especially older ones. topics exist, topic posts exist, but the texts from those old posts are not visible. in the figure, is the beginning of a topic. the initial post appears, but the texts of the other posts do not appear.
2 - I get the warning "There are currently 2 customized template(s) that need to be updated or reverted. Some sections of vBulletin may not function if you do not do this!", but when I click the link indicated ("Click here to view these templates!"), there are no templates to update

can you help me? especially about problem 1?

    thank you!

For point 2, run this query on the database:

    Code:
    UPDATE `template` SET `mergestatus`='none'
For point 1, no data should be lost on an upgrade. Does the text show if you edit a missing post? (You may need to upgrade a test mirror of your site to establish this).

      Okay, Mark!

thank you so much! I was impressed when I saw the result. I still had not seen messages without text. see the images, please. the first image are messages without text after upgrading to version 5.3.4. the second image are the same messages, but in version 5.2.0 and the messages are with the text.

when you say that the "test mirror" is the creation of a test site indicated in the VB manual: https://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/upgrade_testsite
right? I will try to create a test site and come back here to continue analyzing the problem, ok ?.

      thank you!

        Hello!

I was able to deploy the test site in version 5.2.0.
Do I upgrade to version 5.3.4 now?

        thanks!

friends, I was able to upgrade to the new version and the problem was solved.
several attempts have been made to update ..
just do not know what the cause of the problem, but version 5.3.4 PL1 was installed.

            thank you!
