I get a lot of db errors, for example when I try to access member page

You need to be running 5.3.4. As mentioned earlier we cannot provide support for 5.2.6, it is obsolete.MARK.B

MySQL Error : Illegal mix of collations for operation 'UNION'
Other option would be to convert all fields of all tables to utf8, but that is not a function of vBulletin itself, it needs to be done outside vBulletin and I'd recommend taking a backup before you try.Comment
