You need to make sure you run the upgrade script, not the install script, and that you're using a copy of the live database (not the live database itself).

We need to know more details, "didn't work" doesn't tell us anything.

What happened when you tried to run it?
What error message did you get?
What was shown on screen while it was running?

So, you ran the upgrade script, and it went through all the steps, and then said "Upgrade Complete" at the end?

You do understand that a "fresh install" is completely different to an "upgrade"?
If you carry out a fresh install, you delete your database and you start with nothing. No posts, no members, no forums.

Open the .htaccess file in the root.
                Find:
                #RewriteBase /

                Change to:
                RewriteBase /

Are mod_rewrite rules enabled on your server?

Probably need a support ticket to investigate your set up. Your installation is present but you're getting white pages which usually indicates a URL rewrite issue of some sort. Add /core/admincp to your URL and see that the admincp loads there, but not at /admincp like it should.

                        Please raise a ticket here:

                        We'll need:
                        AdminCP login
                        FTP credentials

White page caused by extra index page, I think index.html by the vbulletin installer package when moved the upgrade files into directory. You need to delete this one particular index file.
